Black History Month Spotlight: Celebrating Scarlette & Stuart Douglas
Celebrating Black Excellence, Representation and Community Support
This Black History Month, Afro*disiac Live Radio CIC proudly shines the spotlight on the talented brother-and-sister duo Scarlette and Stuart Douglas, recognising their remarkable achievements in British television, property development and entrepreneurship, while expressing our heartfelt appreciation for their support of Bournemouth Reggae Weekender.
Best known for their Channel 4 television programmes Worst House on the Street, George Clarke’s Flipping Fast and Love It or List It, Scarlette and Stuart have built successful careers that demonstrate the importance of Black representation across British media.
Scarlette first became a familiar face on Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun, while Stuart brought his experience as a former professional footballer and property developer into television. Together, they have established themselves as an inspiring presenting partnership.
Their involvement in Channel 4’s groundbreaking Black to Front initiative in 2021 was particularly significant, helping celebrate Black British talent and increase representation on mainstream television.
Beyond their television careers, the siblings continue to champion entrepreneurship, creativity and opportunity.
A Special Thank You from Afro*disiac Live Radio CIC
As a Black-founded, community-led, not-for-profit organisation, we understand the importance of visibility, opportunity and supporting initiatives that celebrate African and Caribbean heritage.
Having Scarlette and Stuart support and host Bournemouth Reggae Weekender meant a great deal to our organisation.
Their involvement helped celebrate the spirit of a festival built around music, culture, diversity and bringing communities together.
Black History Month is not only about remembering those who paved the way. It is also about recognising those making history today and inspiring the next generation.
To Scarlette and Stuart, thank you for your support, your achievements and for being part of our journey.
From all of us at Afro*disiac Live Radio CIC and Bournemouth Reggae Weekender — we celebrate you!
