Afro*Disiac_TM 2

Our goal is to reduce Bournemouth Reggae Weekender’s carbon footprint and environmental impact incrementally each year. In this endeavour, we actively seek to engage the local community and prioritise stallholders and vendors at the event who are committed to helping us make the festival as environmentally sustainable as possible.

Since our inception 2021 we have taken the following steps:

  • 2023 : Introduced re-usable cup scheme.
  • 2024 : Introducing Re-fillable water stations with Bournemouth Water and waste segregation working alongside Litter Free Dorset.
  • 2024 : Banning foil and plastic balloons, helium, and single-use plastics of any sort at the festival.
