One of the most exciting new additions to Bournemouth Reggae Weekender 2026 the Silent Disco—a space where great music meets an even greater story.
Running throughout the festival weekend, the Silent Disco is more than just a place to dance. It celebrates the young people who have grown through the Afro*disiac Live Radio DJ Workshops, giving them the opportunity to perform alongside experienced DJs in front of a festival audience.
From Our Studio to the Festival
Every young DJ featured this weekend began their journey in our community workshops. Learning everything from beat matching and music programming to crowd reading and performance confidence, they have dedicated countless hours to developing their skills. Today, they are ready to showcase their talent on one of the South Coast’s biggest reggae festivals.
This is exactly why Afro*disiac exists—to create opportunities, nurture talent and open doors for young people through music.
Meet Our Next Generation DJs
Throughout the weekend you’ll hear sets from our emerging DJs:
- DJ Ethan – 9 years old
- DJ Trav – 12 years old
- BPM175 – 15 years old
- DJ Phillipa – 16 years
Sharing the decks with established selectors:
- Word of Mouth
- DJ Leeroy
- DJ Magaman
Together they’ll take festival-goers on a musical journey through Amapiano , Afro House dancehall, Afrobeats, party anthems and feel-good summer vibes.
